I am a magician. I work at the edge of the seen world, and reach into spaces just beyond sight. When I place my hand inside my top hat, I often never know what I might pull free: a bedsheet, a spoon, or a simple cup of coffee. Each surprise is a reminder that mystery and humor often hide in plain sight – just waiting for us to notice.
My work is driven by the desire to peak behind the veil of the real – to glimpse the possibilities that hover just out of our perception. I am motivated to reveal the strangeness we might see when are minds are free. Satisfaction comes when the viewer experiences a moment of shifted perspective: a glimpse beyond the commonplace.
